The Royal Canadian Air Force operated North American B-25 Mitchells during the post-war period before arrival of jet aircraft. This Mitchell Mk. III was being bombed up for Exercise Sun Dog III at RCAF Station Goose Bay, Labrador, during February 1952. The bomber was assigned to No. 406 (Reserve) Squadron and carried the name City of Saskatoon. The exercise was a joint training operation carried out by the RCAF and Canadian Army. (DND)
